Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a baking dish, combine cherry tomatoes, capers, garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil, half the lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Place cod fillets on top of the tomato mixture.
Drizzle remaining olive oil and lemon juice over the fish.
Season fish with additional salt and pepper.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
