Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 bell peppers diced
  • 2 cans 15 oz each kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese sour cream, chopped cilantro, sliced jalapenos

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Transfer turkey to the slow cooker.
  • Add all remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve hot with optional toppings.
